I have Active sync problems, I now get “Attention required” on any Outlook file. Calendar, Inbox, Contacts etc.
I had no problems connecting with this PC and this device in past when I was running Office 2000. I upgraded to office XP, hated it, then upgraded the next day to Office 2003. That is when the problems began.
I can connect to two other PC’s that I upgrade from Office 2000 to Office 2003 (no Office XP installed) with out any problems.

I am using a Dell Axim X5 with Pocket PC V 4.20.1081 (build 13100)
I now run Office 2003.
I have XP Pro SP2
I do also use Mozilla Thunderbird for my e-mail, however I do not sync my e-mail with my Axim (I only tried it when I started having problems)

I have tried un-checking the problem files in Active sync, and re-checking them.
I have uninstalled Active sync, and re-installed it.
I have deleted the partnership, and made a new one.
I have uninstalled Office 2003 and re-installed it.
I have tried running registry medic to find any problems.

I have been to every website I can find on this and so far I have not found a solution.
I FEEL like Active sync must be some how looking for an old version of Outlook, If so I don’t know how to tell nor how to fix it.

This is so frustrating.

I have been able to install software on several computers, but the last system I have tried (WinXP Professional has been a pain). What did work to at least get the calendar syncing was during the install of Outlook, the directory was changed to the root directory of the computer. I had read a post that said just install it anywhere but the default Office folder. Now I just have to figure out what is wrong with the Contacts
