Specs: Windows Vista, not sure
I accidently set a partition as active and it did not contain an OS so now my computer won't start. Is there a way to set it back?

You need to boot your computer with an alternate media that has some system tools or temporarily remove the hard drive snd use another computer to reset the active partition.

Explain how you "accidentially" set active partition? Were you doing something without knowing what it was when you were using Disk Management tool? If that was the case, undoing it is not easy. Click on link below to read M$ article about it.
