Hi, i have an Access database that is located on a network drive which is mapped to my computer.
The problem seems to be that my tables change types out of the blue. One day i have memo fields and the next day they are in text. This therefore cuts my fields to 255 characters. Also i have numeric fields that change to text. This has happened in only on etable for now. Would anyone know about this problem!

Make note of the date and time of the database file when you exit it. The next time you need to go into it, look at the date and time again before you open it up to see if it has changed.

The filed types can't just change by themselves. I recommend passwording the mdb file. That way, you'll be the ONLY one who can open it.
