Access storing personal email??

I just opened an access database (mdb file) in windiff to compare to another file, and when looking through the file in plain text view (with all the weird ascii characters of course) there are personal emails stored in there, easily redable. This includes the headers as well as the body, to and from address etc. Basically many personal emails are being saved into the database without me knowing. It can't be due to macros or anything, as none have the potential to do this.
Why could access be storing this data? How do I turn it off and remove it? The database is used for one of our sports clubs, so is used by more than just me. Thanks

it was a password protected version of the same database - basically wanted to see if passwording it changes the content or not.
Anyway I have solved the problem now, turned out to be Access was saving the mdb file on a bit of hard disk where emails used to be saved, and ended up recovering that data. A simple compact & repair sorted it out.
