Most (if not all) installs of MS Access install a sample db called "Northwind.mdb". This is for users to practice with and you can find tutorials to lead you through the various steps. I also believe you can download it from Microsoft's site, do a search on the MS Office site for "Northwind".
Here's the URL for MS Office Tools: http://office.microsoft.com/home/default.aspx
Just type "northwind" in the search box and you will get lots of options to d/l the db.
