Hi folks,
I've been building a basic Access database (Office 2003 - Win XP) for my work on a laptop they've supplied.I've placed the .mdb file on a flash drive and brought it to work so I can continue on it there.
However, when I try to open it I can only enter data through the main form - I cannot edit the database structure (tables, forms, VBA) in any way and the menu options available are greatly restricted so I cannot do anything with it.
I have not invoked any sort of security on any level and the file is not read only.
I tried to find out as much as I could before this post, but the few 'solutions' I came across like holding Ctrl while opening the file etc. were completely useless.
Can anyone help me?
Much appreciated in advance.

It sounds as if there was Security placed on the database. You'll need the Workgroup Security file copied to your system.
Just an FYI, in future Access questions are better answered in the Database Forum.

You'll need to obtain the file from the person who created the database.
Off the top of my head, I can't remember the location for it, (or the exact name), but it may be system.mdb. Again, I'm not positive as I haven't worked with secured Access databases in nearly ten years. The database administrator should know.
