2 copies of all email

I'm using Outlook XP. It's been working fine and now all of a sudden I'm receiving 2 copies of all my emails. I don't remember changing any settings in Outlook and haven't checked with my ISP yet but thought I post here first. Am I missing something? Is there an option I can set, or un-set, to stop this from happening?

Glen, There might be 2 instances of running simultaneously on your pc. With your Outlook closed, check the processes tab under Task Manager and make sure you don't see OUTLOOK.exe anywhere. Also, you might want to verify that you don't have your user acct duped in Outlook's mail accounts.

Glen,
The issue may be as simple as your email is being left on the ISP's server (not removed after you download it). Under your account setup or under your preferences, check for the "Leave Copy of Mail on Server" checkbox... make sure that is NOT checked as this will leave your email out on server and potentially cause you to download messages a second time.
This can be a problem if you access your email from two PC's and one is set to leave mail on server and other is not.
If not, the above suggestion is also possible.

99% of the time this is the fault of the e-mail server, not your computer.
