Comment:

PC number three on the home network cannot see two of my seven hard drives. it always gives the "you might not have permisison" error whenever she tries.

I've disabled Windows Firewall (never had it on), and I don't have any other firewall software. Antivirus is inactive, and turned off.

Under Sharing & Security, the two drives are shared as their letters, with permissions set to Everyone (originally just Read, but now I've ticked the other two boxes Full Control/Change).

When I enter NET SHARE in the cmd prompt, the two drives are listed, just like all the others. She can access (and execute) the files in all the other drives, but for these last two drives all she can do is view the folders in the root directory. If she tries to open any, she get's "you might not have permission..."

I try to give the drives new names and permissions, and add them manually at her PC via "Add a New Network Place" in MY NETWORK... but still nothing. See the folders on the drive, but can never see the contents found therein.

ONLY these two drives. All others are fine. despite duplicate permissions set.

Help?

Yes. Twice. (Once normal, once with a dollar sign after the letter)
