point but internet cannot be found. I am going crazy trying to find someone at linksys to help me. I am using a 802.11g router and adapter. I am connected at the router and my adapter is connected to the access point but I cannot surf or get email. When I click on the task bar icon I get the message in subject. Funny when I connect through my dial up the message changes to "you are connected to the internet". But as soon as the dial up is disconnected the dsl connection is down. So great I am connected to the main computer but I can't get on to the internet with it.

There are 2 types of DSL, the kind that use a modem and the kind that use a modem/router. I would assume you are using the modem only since you have chosen to purchase a Linksys router. Did you setup the router using PPPoE and put in your user name(with @xx.com) and password? If so you should unplug both units, plug in the modem, wait for it to stop blinking(or whatever), and then plug in the router. Also look at the status page in the router to see if the router has received an IP address from the modem. Good Luck. -DF
