Hello I was playing around with the network settings on my work laptop so that i can connect it to my home pc to copy some files over, i changed it from the domain group to a workgroup named WORKGROUP. It asked for a restart and now i cant log into the laptop with my usual password. After a quick look online, it looks like i have royally stuffed it up. If you don't have a local account, there is no "workaround." Follow XPUser's advice. Life's more painless for the brainless.

Yeah guess thats what i will do on monday. Just wondering, if someone has a admin level username and password for my laptop stored somewhere it should be ok? Thanks.

There is an Admin account on the computer. The Default Administrator account cannot be removed. Life's more painless for the brainless.

However, if no one has that password, then the only thing to do is reinstall Windows. Next time you want to do this add a new Network Connection instead of trying to modify the existing one from a domain to a workgroup. Right-click the My Network Neighborhood icon on the dexktop, select Properties, then click on Open a New Network Connection and use the Network Setup Wizard.
