It may not be that you need especially if the router is second hand and the previous user changed the address.

They way to find out is to set your computer to obtain IP address automatically and reboot. Go to a command prompt and type in ipconfig /all

The Default gateway address is the one you are looking for.

BTW: It is a bad idea to display you Email address for the whole world to see. It is an open invitation for every spammer to annoy you. Questions on this forum get answered on the forum, that way everybody gets to see the answer.

Router is first hand .
first time router was working good , but i had to install windows again , so i installed fresh windows (xp) , from that time till now that does not work.

i did that ( i typed "ipconfig/all" in CMD and i saw the gateway , that was "".)

And when i ping "" i can see reply , but still when i type in IE's URL , i see this : "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" .

and i installed a lots of web browsers like : opera , mozilla firefox , IE , and i think my web browsers are safe , but they do not reply about this address(

If is the correct IP then it would appear there's something wrong with the management web page of the router.

My recommendation would be to try resetting the router to factory defaults to see if that helps. To reset, press in, and hold, the reset button for 10 seconds and then let go and the router will reboot.

putting in a static ip, which clearly is incorrect, won't do anything for you except leave you where you are.

You don't mention what brand or model of router which would be helpful information.

change the tcp/ip setting to auto assigned ip and lets see if the routers dhcp server will give you an address.

It sounds like you Internet Explorer is working off line. Click the "File" menu and make sure there is no check mark next to the "Work Off Line". Better yet use Firefox it is way better than IE. The other problem could be that your IE got configured to use dialup. Check you connection tab under properties to make sure that there is nothing in the Dialup Connections.

The best solution is, "Call the Tech Support number in your manual."
