This ought to be a really basic problem, but I don't know enough about wireless or XP to solve it by myself. PLEEEEEEASE help.
I have an XP Home laptop which I am trying to setup a wireless network for, with a DLink DI-713P router.
I have successfully installed the PCMCIA card, and can connect from my laptop wirelessly to all the other machines on my home network. However, when I try to browse the web, nothing is accessible. (DNS errors, but I know for fact that I have set up the DNS correctly). The proof of this is that
the SAME laptop, which also has a built-in 'wired' n/w adapter, connects flawlessly to both inside and outside my house with the SAME n/w setup. That is, if I use a WIRED connection SAME machine, there is no problem. It is ONLY when I do it wirelessly that I have connectivity problems. If I disconnect the wire, and try to use ONLY my wireless connection I fail to browse the web.
PLEASE HELP!!!
