Comment:

I have two XP home systems with a workgroup network. I have a Shared folder & can access the files no problem, but I can not change or delete any of them. They are not read only files.
I also cannot move file from system A to system B.

Check under sharing in Utilities for each folder. Make sure you have allow network users to change files ticked.

When you share the folder, don't forget to tick that "Allow network users to change my files" option.
