one particular network share dies as soon as i as windows to save the password. the xp box is the client, logged into a domain. the resource has separate credential requirments (diff username/pass) that work fine if they are typed in after each login/reboot. but as soon as i check 'save password' and reboot, it gives me access denied forever more, until i reformat.
