Hi, I have a new WIndows XP Pro SP2 computer and I am having problems connecting to a network (Workgroup). I have created a user on the system, changed the workgroup name and can only login as Administrator. If I try and login as the user I get the message "The system could not log you on. Make sure your username and domain are correct, then type your password again. Letters in passwords must be typed using the correct case". I can ping the other computers on the network. A windows 98 SE computer can login fine using the same login name and password.

Oh yeah, Change your computer from domain into workgroup by going to control panel - system - computer name - change
In order to access to network files make sure userID on both computers are the same if you setup security because workgroup network only base on username
