XP Bridge kills connection

Specs: Windows XP
I created an XP bridge last night to connect another machine to my wireless connection via the ethernet port I do not use. It worked when I set it up and I was able to use it all last night.

Problem is that I can not get it to work today. If I have the bridge connected, the internet will not work on either computer. After disabling the LAN device, my wifi connection starts working again on my computer.

I searched around and found an article stating I need to enable "promiscuous mode," however it worked last night without that enabled. Also, when I type "netsh bridge show adapter" at console, it shows nothing, so forcing promiscuous mode is going to be a problem.

Anyone have any idea what to do? Thanks.

enable the bridge.
do a ipconfig /all and post the results

there should be no gateway entry on your wired nic.

I had a gateway set. I removed that and it worked again. Thanks!

(Strange that it would have worked like that last night, but not now though.)
