XP And IPx dont work

Hi, Im running xp pro and whernever i try to play netwrok games it just searches the network and cannot find and ipx games at all. do i need to enable ipx over netbios??? what could be wrong?

IPX is not supported by WinXP (and W2K, NT4) Only the SPX part can be used in WinXP.
If you want to use IPX, switch back to Win98.

ummm....Math, IPX is a part of SPX....the protocol is actually, IPX/SPX and it installs as one object.

FYI (for your information), IPX/SPX (internet packet exchange/sequential packet exchange) is a Novell protocol and is only needed in a windows environment when you have Novell servers or, you are running games that require IPX/SPX and don't use TCP/IP.

Sure there is, install it. On the property sheet for your NIC click the Install button then choose Protocol and click the Add button. Choose "Nwlink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocol" and click Add
