Help please, I have an XP & Win Me sucessfully accessing the internet via a 4 port Linksys router & cable modem. I am unable to get the 2 to share files. I have run the network wizard and now get the XP and Me to show up on the XP box when I search for all computers in my network. When I search for a particular file on the Me box I get the following message:"\\Gateway (the Win Me box's name) is not accessible. You might not have permissioin to use this network resource. Contact net admin of this server to find out if youi have access permissions. The network path was not found."

I am a rank beginner and have no tech support available in my area. Books have confused me even more. Anyone willing to walk me through the process. My cable provider said he couldn't support any help outside of getting both boxes and the router working for the internet.

Regards
Doug

Who all have permissions to access the shared folder? You may need to include 'Everyone' in your share permissions. I dont remember exactly what I did to make it work, but it was something with the permisions. I may have even added the account with same username and password.. I cant remember. I just needed to get some files on the ME box before I reformated it.
