Hi all-

I'm having problems getting lag games to work over my network (XP and a 98se machine). I can share files and I can see the other computer, but the computers cannot see each other on lan. I have NETBIOS, IPX, and TCP/IP installed on both machines. Help!!!!

Sorry, i was busy recently so i couldn't reply.

Thanks for your response mike. My network setup on my 98 SE machine, i have NETBEUI, TCP/IP, and IPX. For my XP machine, i have NETBIOS, NETBEUI, TCP/IP, and the one with the one with IPX/SPX/NETBIOS. Sorry, I'm not good at computers; how do i ping? Oh and I have a shared internet connection.

The way I set up the network was to manually install the Netbios, TCP/IP, and IPX for the 98 SE machine. I don't remember how I installed my stuff but I know that I did not used the home network setup thing that comes with the XP software.

P.S. I can use the two computers to play unreal tournament but the other computer needs to type in the ip address manually.
