My DLink DL707p recently cavved on me so a couple months ago I picked up a new Belkin Pre-N to replace it, everything worked great but we just tried to log onto xbox live for the first time since the upgrade and can't connect anymnore.

I now have read the Belkin Pre-N is not on the list of compatible routers and won't connect but I have been reading that some people seem to be able to get them to connect reliably by disabling DHCP in the router, assigning a static IP to the xbox and using the routers address for the DNS address in the xbox. Tried that and still no go. just to be sure I tried assigning a static IP to one of the computers on my network and it DID work. (used the routers IP for the gateway address too).

If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.
