Ok I have tried to get help on other pages. Here is what the problem is.

I got COMCAST cable the other day. They hooked it up and it was working fine on one computer. I hooked it directly from the modem to another computer and it worked fine there also. Then I hooked it into a router then too the two computers. The connection was fine for about 20mins then It would drop on both computers and I have to restart both computers to get it to work again, but then it drops after 10-20mins again.

[modem]---->{router}--->(1 computer) drops connection
[modem]---->{router}--->(2 computers) drops connection
[modem]----> (1 computer) works fine

After that you would think that it is probably the router.

1. The leasing time on the router is set for forever.
2. after connection is lost I can't brows by ip either so it's no DNS
3. after connection is lost I can't get to the router configuration either.... untill i restart the computer
4. I have lost connection while; browsing, downloading and gaming.
5. I have the latest drivers for the network cards and the latest firmware for the router.

if anyone can help me I will be very apriciative.

A big plus in helping you would have been you putting in your query the type of router you're using. I would suggest you call your ISP and ask them what's what with that. Likely they've helped other users with the same problem and can help you as well.

well COMCAST says they don't support networking. Meaning they can't help you with networking problems. But they also say you are able to network.

So my ISP won't help. I'm using a belkin router.
