When you are setting up a workgroup in Windows 2000/XP why does it sometimes default to MSHome as the workgroup name and then sometimes use workgroup as the name. Is it something selected during setup or does it have to do with the OS being installed? or is it something else?
They are default names used by Windows. It could be that different flavours of windows have different defaults. It doesn't matter. Change the name to whatever you like as long as all systems within the group have the same workgroup name.
