I HAVE A NETWORK OF 24 W/S. HAVING WORKGROUP NETWORK. AND HAVING 512 KBPS DSL CONNECTION. TO INTERNET HOSTING W/S. AND INTERNET SHARING TO OTHERS BY CC PROXY.
BUT WHENEVER ANY WORK STATION IS CONNECTING TO THE INTERNET SOME TIMES IT IS VERY SLOW. UNABLE TO OPEN ANY SITE. BUT FROM THE INTERNET HOSTING W/S. CONNECTING TO THE INTERNET IS VERY FAST.
We'd need to know more about your topology. I suspect that you need to vlan it or reduce chatter either by switches or network settings on clients. I suspect too much chatter. Use network monitoring such a taskman and other tools to determine more about your setup. Might be sure you check for spyware and other "offical" network accessing applications.
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
If you have 24 workstations...why are you in a workgroup and not a domain???...10 workstations in a workgroup is usually considered about the maximum...
Much, Much easier to manage and control...
Has this 24 station workgroup ever work correctly???
Have you done a speed test on your connection with www.dslreports.com or similiar???
