Workgrouing different OS

Guys!! How do you network two comuters with different OS,? Vista has a network option,But XP is Workgroup. All Vista PCs are not visible on XP and all XP are invisible on Vista network. HOw do i solve this mystry??

I'm using broadband connection,the port is on the wall. I do not use modem or router.but for my pcs in usnig a hub. i get internet directly from the wall. it is a comlex internet so every apartment has its port

Open a command prompt, run ipconfig /all
post the output.

I want to see if you are getting an internal or external IP address. Chances are it's internal.
