Specs: Windows XP
I have a netgear WPNT834 with no security on my wireless. I have othere PCs that are connected without a probem. I just got a presoio F700 (orig Vista) with broadcom G WLAN card. It connected for a while after I loaded XP sp2 and got rid of vista. One day it stopped and I could not get it to see my network. Sees everything around me and can connect to them but not mine. So I plugged in a WPN111 usb WLAN and loaded the drivers. Samething! I have my network as preffered and I have been though the setup 100 times. Even put another laptop next to this one and went through set up side by side being sure all was the same.I dont know haw it can be the pc with a fresh copy of windows ect... Im running out of hair to pull out!

Well I dont know why... But it is now connected! I disconnected each Item that was attached to my router. I found one Mac address I could not account for... Finally realized it was my internet modem. I disconneced the ethernet cable running from the the modem to my router and suddenly, My laptop could see my router. So I added each item back to the router one at a time. As I did this I disconnected my Wlan on my laptop and recconnected. It work great now with great range. Would still like to kow why!
