i am living in a hall of residence, and i can almost connect to the college network in my room, but not quite. i am 'fortunate'enough to live close by, but not quite close enough. i have a signal strength of 40%, and it says its connected, but i have only got the login page once, for a few seconds, before it disappeared. I am looking for a really good wireless network card for a laptop computer. Q How can i see from an advert/tech details how good the network card is? When i mean good, i mean its range ability Q What is the best network card to use? I mean the largest range or best receiver etc. Thanx

what you need is any wireless adapter capable of having external antenna attached to it because most wireless nic has similar ranges, extender is required to boost receivig power.
