Hi,
I need some networking advice. I'm running a wireless network with a netgear WGT624 router. I hvae several computers (Xp pro, home, 98se). I wanting to extend wireless range to the back area of my home, but with the capability to wire in 3 other computers in the back on the network. I've been told I need a wireless-to-ethernet bridge, so I've been looking for a wireless bridge with 4 to 5 ports on the back to use wired networking to the other 3 computers. Any ideas on what piece of equipment I need would be much appreaciated :) The device I'm thinking of is a WET54GS5 Linksys 5 port bridge with wireless. I'm just not wanting to run a LONG cable to the back part of the house for a wired bridge.

Most common bridges have only one port. You will have to add a hub or switch to get more ports.

Yes, the WET54GS5 will work just fine. It has a 5 port switch built it. Just keep in mind that with all those computers running wireless, your performance could suffer. Make sure you have a good strong wireless signal connection between the bridge and the router. If you find you have anything less than an excellent signal, You may want to check out some of the long range antennas. I would put a directional hi-gain antenna on the bridge pointing in the direction of the router to get the best signal.
