Comment: Hi I just the night before cleaned my computer by F-disking and reinstalled my windows-- Everything hunkydory except it won't install my Wireless Adapter (Linksys): 2.4 GHz PCI Adapter, Model- wmpll- for some reason it sees it as a Ethernet Device and when I go and try and install the drivers for it-- they don't seem to attach to the 'Ethernet device' I've tried putting it into another slot but it still does the exact same thing- I'm really lost on what to do net- Any help would be extremely well-- helpful ^_^; -Jamie

Reply: (edit)Might delete it from system at system properties. Then use the install method that linksys suggests. Either a add hardware then look for software or install software and let xp find new hardware is the normal deal. Then config network as you wish. I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

Reply: (edit) Most wireless card require you to install the software before physically installing the card I think.
