I'm needing to network an XP PRO notebook and a Win98 PC via 802.11b.
The notebook has built in wifi, the Win98 desktop uses a usb adapter.
I set up the Win98 DESKTOP wifi for AdHoc.
That Win98 shows up just fine on the XP notebook - when selecting the "show available networks" and it can connect.HOWEVER - the Deskptop is sharing a printer and file folder and neither will show up as available on the XP.
BOTH have the same protocols loaded and the SAME network group specifications.
Any suggestions?ALSO....assuming I DO get the connections working okay....can the XP notebook use the Win98 Internet Sharing feature okay? (it is activated on the Win98 desktop).
(For various reasons...I HAVE to use the Win98 AdHoc to share the printer and Internet with the XP notebook...if at all possible)
THANKS
