wireless wont connect bt homehub

March 5, 2010 at 04:30:05
Specs: Windows Vista
Im running vista 1st of all. I tried installing a sitecom 300n wireless adapter and an edimax
7711uan wireless adapter. Did all the basics, like install cd, used correct wep keys but no joy. I was using a netgear wg111t wireless adapter (before my wife smashed it up,yep caught in the act). Im using the bt homehub v 1.5. It picks up the signals with no problems (90%), i entered the corrected wep key in both sitecom and edimax config utility's.

If you have 2 wireless adapters on one computer, disable one of the adapters, don't use them at the same time. Also don't enable any wireless encryption on wireless router temporary, after that test to connect to wireless network and see how it goes.

If it works, that means you used wrong WEP encryption key before. If it doesn't work, can take a look on this wireless network troubleshooting tips article, hope this helps.
