Comment: browsing through the net i notice that wireless routers range from £50-£120 even though they both offer 802.11B and 802.11G capability at a speed of 54MBs, im curious to what the £120 ones have that the £50 ones dont as far as i can see they both do the same job at the same standard?

Reply: (edit)802.11b can transfer data up to 11Mbps and 802.11g can transfer data up to 54Mbps. The only thing that both share is they both use the 2.4Ghz band. They say distance is about the same but from my own personal trails I've found that G can transmit a little further.
