i currently have a wireless router sharing internet to 4 computer (2 wired, 2 wireless). i want to buy another router because it has a better firewall but the new one would be a wired router. my question is it possible to connect the wireless router to the wired router? if it is possible then i would not have to buy a access point which would save me some money. on the wireless router do i use the wan or lan port to connect to the wired router?

yes it is very possibly, all you have to do is to setup the wireless router to not use its DHCP funtion. This will allow the wired router to hand out IP addresses. If you could post the Model Number and manufacturer of your wireless router I could probably talk you thorugh it
