wireless to wired ethernet

I have a couple of PCs in my house connected to the internet through a TP-LINK router. I want to be able to capture the IP traffic of one of the computers (my son's) connected wirelessly to the router with something like Wireshark installed on another computer. How can that be done? Can an AP convert the wireless stream to a wired one? If yes, then how?

If I remember correctly, you'll probably only capture broadcast packets. What do you think he's doing that requires monitoring?
