Hi, I have a laptop with a built in wireless wifi adapter, but it picks up very low signals for the internet. How can I make my laptop get a stronger signal....without getting actual internet services??? Scorpion.1971@yahoo.com

You would need to move closer to the wireless service.
Not exactly kosher to be using other peoples wireless without their permission. But if they are dumb enough to leave the connections open....use at your own risk. It it a known hacker setup to provide open wireless so they can hack your laptop.

My neighbor knows I'm getting "internet" from them. I just want a stronger signal so I won't be booted off. Thank you!

You would need them to do a stronger broadcast. Not much you can do with the builtin wireless nics.

It could be possible to put in a wireless bridge if there was a point in your house that you get a good signal. This could amplify/repeat the wireless signal for your house.
