HI all

I have a notebook with XP pro installed and a destop with xp home installed (that is how it came packaged). I want to buy a wireless router w/ built in switch and pc card for the laptop but I have heard bad things about wireless routers and2 different xp machines or just working with xp in general. Since I don't have any real way of personally testing this nor have anyone with a wireless router
I wondered if anyone had experience with this and what models do you guys recommend
ex. linksys, netgear, smc, etc.

I just need the wireless aspect of the router for the internet while using the built in switch or hub for lan file transfer.

I've seen people using XP machines networked with a wireless router and it works fine. The brands you know are probably all good. I would recommend to you that you set up the encryption if you get one. Nobody ever does this and it's becoming a new hacker picnic.
