Wireless router stopped working

Linksys Wrt160n wireless router

Specs: Windows 7
My router (Linksys WRT160N) suddenly stopped working wirelessly today; one minute it was fine, then gone. My desktop PC which is hard-wired to the router via ethernet is still working. I know it is not the laptop itself because my iPhone will not connect either.

The laptop will see the network (and it is a strong signal) but when I try to connect it fails. The useless troubleshooting wizard on my laptop just says its a router issue and recommends power cycling the router.

I have tried rebooting/resetting everything multiple times, including even a hard reset on the router which required me to re-do all settings.

I don't know what to do? The router is less than 1 year old and I believe I have the latest frimware already. Could it have just gone bad? I really don't want to go buy another router but I don't know what else to do. I've wasted about 3 hours this afternoon and am ready to throw it out the window.

Thanks in advance.

Did you try changing the Wireless Channel?

Yes I changed it from 6 t0 11. Didn't make difference.

Try using this software to see if your router is still broad casting. It sounds like your Radio burned out...

Click on my name above in my response and read my "how-to" guide titled "Troubleshooting Wireless Issues"

From the looks of it, you've performed all of the steps in the guide but doublecheck to be sure. If you have, or do, and still no go, then you'll have to either replace the unit (recommended) or buy a wireless access point and plug it in to your existing router.
