1) I bought linksys wireless router, the modem is a scientific atlantica.
2) I hooked it up.. the way its supposed to be hooked up (I've done dozens of these things).
3) I get no internet (the modem doesn't show that it's picking anything up) and no internet while going through router.

The only thing I can think of is a bad router, but the chances of that are low. Since I don't have access to the computer (someone's house) it's hard to answer questions about it.

Connect directly to the modem using the correct subnet and try to access the web interface.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.
