I have a wired network in my house. I want to add wireless capability while keeping the wired network. Is it possible to simply plug an ethernet cable from the wired router into the wireless router (runs off of my PC) to get the wireless network running? Anyone see problems with this? My roommate is worried that this will screw up the wired network somehow.

I should also mention that there is a VOIP phone running on one of the wired modem ports. Basic setup diagram is:

Easiest way to do it is to pick up a Wireless Access Point. Connect that to your router, now you have wireless capacity on your network. A more elegant solution is to replace your router with a wireless router. These come with 4 Ethernet ports so you can maintain your existing wired network and have wireless clients as well.
