I was online yesterday wirelessly(spelling?) with my sattelite laptop with blue tooth, everything has been fine i had a network set up in my house with 2 pcs an xbox and a wireless laptop, i came home the next day, i got a new razer copperhead mouse, which i love, did some driver installing and i dont remember when exactly but now my wiresless router wont broadcast at all, my nintendo ds doesnt even pick up signal and my laptop doesnt find the network at all. it finds and can connect to other networks around me but not mine, it doesnt even find mine. i reset my router and tried to redo everything but still no luck, can a router just die and not work with wireless any more. by the way, a direct ethernet connection is working for all the computers still, thats how im posting, thanks in advance so much guys.

Have you checked the firewall as being a problem. Otherwise, borrow a router and see if changing it solves the problem. Can you access your router through your computer by using its IP address?

The Routers firewall, ive tried to disable and enable and it hasnt made a firfference. other firewalls have also been disabled. i can access the router config through a wired connection. i will try to borrow a wireless router from someone to see if its my computer or not. one other thing that was strange was when i came home that night, the router was completely off. the plug didnt seem to be unplugged, but i replugged it in anyways and it all lit up correctly. thanks for the help, nice an quick

It's probably a bad/buggy router or a flaky power supply. Anyway, first, I'd do a hard reset on it (look at the documentation that came with it and follow the instructions for performing a hard reset). Then, after you have reconfigured it to your liking, go out to the router manufacturer's Website and get the latest firmware for it. Install that and hope for the best. If it continues to act up, toss it in the trash and get a new one! Life's too short to be pulling your hair out over a buggy router! Good luck!
