Hi,
I am interested in purchasing a wireless router for my house. I have started to conduct reasearch and am pretty overwhelmed. I have read some good reviews of the Linksys Wireless G 54mbps cable/dsl router as well as the Netgear mr814 802.11b wireless cable/dsl router. And I know D-link makes some.
Can someone please recommend which one they would choose? And what things do I need to consider when choosing. It is a gift for my boyfriends birthday. Our house is already networked, but I would like to allow him the option of using both the PC or Mac laptops elsewhere in the house.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just got my d-link dwl-614+ two days ago. I think its a good router and goes about 100 meters indoors. With any wireless router make sure to secure it. The 614 comes with 256 bit wep encryption wich is nice and also the ability to disable ssid. I think the d-link is a good choice and also the wireless card dwl-650+. Both of them are very cheap and work fine.
