Wireless Reception Problem

Hello. I have a Wireless-G router and an Internet modem, along with three computers (two desktops, one laptop). I also have two places around my house that I can plug the internet modem into for it to recieve connection (I'm not sure what these are called, I run a white cable with a pointed copper wire in the middle to my internet and the wall). The difference, however, is that when I connect it to Place A, all three computers work fine (one wired, two wireless). When I connect to to Place B, only two computers receive good signal (one wired, one wireless). I'm wondering why the third one isn't receiving signal. Thank you!

wireless g has a limited distance that it can broadcast, so the computer that isn't connecting is out of range of the wireless router, why would it have to be in place b if place a works perfectly?
