Hi, i wanna know if the internet connection will be slow on wireless if i connect 8 wireless enabled desktops on a wireless router (linksys)... (DSL 384mbps)

I guess it depends on how you define "slow". If by slow you mean, the more users connected via wireless, the slower it will be for everyone, then yes, it will be 'slow' compared to just having one user connected.

Not that your internet connection itself will be slower....just the LAN side of things. Your internet connection should remain just what it is. As with any contention based network, the more users, the slower things go for everyone. In a small environment like yours, if you get one user downloading a big file, that will slow everything down a bunch for the rest. The same is true for video streaming. If everyone's just browsing the web, then it shouldn't be too bad overall.

Wireless is by it's very nature, slower than a wired solution.

Wireless is by it's very nature, slower than a wired solution largely because - as JackMDS explained HERE - propagation through the air is affected by environmental electrical noise and the further you move the client from the source the “Speed” would degrade.

According to Wikipedia 802.11n (not yet ratified) would address this limitation and will support greater throughputs.
