i have just got a another computer and have installed it on the home wireless network. i am using a usb network adapter to connect to the network and to share the broadband connection. the broadband is 1MB downstream but when i do a speedtest on the compuetr connected wirlessly i get results of about 256KB down whereas on a different computer connected directly to the router i get about 1mB down. my question is can u get a 1MB down going through a wirless network to share a broadband connection or is 256 the maximum i could achieve? . any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
