I am working at a library where we just installed a new Wireless Access Point. We are also wanting to add a wireless print server to the network for the people that will be connecting to the network wirelessly. We are wanting to be able to print from the same printer wirelessly and from the wired public access computers. Is this possible with one printer? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Yes. You don't need a wireless print server. Any printer connected to the network or to a computer connected to the network is shareable. There is one main problem. Unless you can restrict access, people will eventually abuse the useage. First there is people who will print 500 page documents and worse people who just want to print. 500 pages per day at 2 cents - $10 a day - $3,650 a year not including amortization. You need to charge 5 cents a page or get a sponsor.

I am not wanting to share the printer. I am just wanting to be able to connect to the printer with its IP address(both with a wireless print server and with a wired ethernet connection with one printer). Could I connect the printer to the network with ethernet cable and also connect a wireless print server to that same printer via USB? Would I need 2 different IP address's for the wired connection and the wireless print server?

You missed the point of Wizzard-Fred's response. You DO NOT NEED A WIRELESS PRINT SERVER.
A wireless print server is ONLY needed if you cannot run a cable to the printer. If you can connect the printer to the network via CAT5, then any device on the network (connected via wire or wirelessly) can connect to the printer.

I'm sorry, let me clatify. The wireless access point will act like its on a seperate network(it will ahve a seperate IP address than the wired network). Basically we do not want the people who are connecting wirelessly to be able to see the rest of the network or the other network printers. So, could I connect the printer to the network with ethernet cable and also connect a wireless print server to that same printer via USB? Would I need 2 different IP address's for the wired connection and the wireless print server? Just asking if this is possible?
