I have a D-link DP-G321 print server and I can not keep it working with my computer. I have the PSAdmin installed and can get a test page to print using it, but from applications on my computer, nothing.
I just bought a new D-Link router and had to use Tech Service to set it up as I had to change the IP address to be compatible with my DSL modem. Unfortunately, D-Link no longer provided support for this print server.
I can not get the wireless print server to even show up on my computer when I seek it using an IP address.
I am lost.

Are you saying that you have a modem and a router? Don't DSL modems already have an internal IP address and a 4 ports? At least mine does for FIOS. Either way, DLink print servers come with a default IP address and must be changed to match the subnet as well. Did you do that?
The only way to do that is to change the PC to the same subnet, change the IP using PSAdmin and change the PC back again.

Yes, I have a DSL modem and it is hard wired to a d-link wireless router. I want to use the wireless router to communicate with a wireless print server.
The wireless print server has a default IP address but it does not respond when I seek it in my browser. The subnet masks are the same, but in my TCP/IP the IP address is different because I have configured new ports.
I am missing something that is simple I know but I am not making any progress, all day.

IP on computer is 192.168.10.103
Default IP on print server is 192.168.0.10
How do I find out if the print server ip is not the default???

That's your problem. The print server is on a different subnet than the PC.
192.168.10.103
192.168.0.10
The third octet has to match. Change the IP on the PC to 192.168.0.2, then use PSAdmin ot open the interface on the print server and change the IP to 192.168.10.99. After that change the PC back DHCP or a static IP in the 192.168.10.x range.

Well that helped, I can at least access the print server through the ip address. Now I just need to set the printers up properly.
Thanks.

So I configured the print server and the printer and ports and everything works, as long as I am hard wired from the wireless router.......but when I remove the router/print server connection, nothing happens.
I guess this mean the wireless print server has gone bad and is not picking up wireless router signals......probably need a new print server.

In reviewing my wireless printer configuration under wireless configuration the SSID is "linksys" which is my old router brand. When I click on the "Site Survey" button, nothing comes up. How do I change the SSID to my current d-link router??

Read the manual and/or call the support number for your product.
