Hi, i'm looking for some advice please...
I have just bought a Belkin F5D7231 Wireless Cable router with 4 port switch.
My PC with XP Home installed is connected directly to port 1 of the 4 port switch and can access the internet without any problems. I need to network to another PC in a nearby room with XP Pro installed, this PC has a compatible wireless USB device and can also see the internet through the wireless router without any problems.
I have set both PC's up with the same 'workgroup' name but they will not see each other accross the network. My initial fear is that the 'wired' LAN ports cannot network with 'wireless' computers.
Am I doing something wrong?
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks
Dave.

No the type of connection, ie wired/wireless has no bearing on whether the two PCs can see each other. You need to check firewall and file & Printer sharing settings in each. Determine the IP each has been allocated by your router and see if you can ping each one from the other.
I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.
