hello, i dont know to much about computers so i hope you can help me. i have dsl and i bought a d link router and i just bought a wireless laptop/ i had a guy at work configure the laptop to the router and it only connects once in a while. when i put the mouse over the icon it says signal too low and no internet connection available. what could possibly be wrong. please help

Couple of simple things to try first. Make sure you raise the router as high as possible in the room it's in. Try connecting in the room.

Next, go into the router setup and disable all security to make sure it's not a security issue.

Finally, try changing channels.

Did he enable any security features such as WEP, WPA, MAC address filtering, no ssid broadcasts?
