Dell Dimension 2400. (Linksys-B wmp11 wireless adapter 2.4) worked until I reformatted the PC. In device manager it has a yellow mark in other devices with shows ethernet contoller. In device manager it also shows network adapter and lists a broadcom something but doesn't show wireless adapter. I was with Dell all morning and they can't help. I also contacted linksys and they don't have the original driver for the wireless adapter and I don't have the cd. Its around 4 years old. I'm not sure if its a driver problem or if the PC doesn't even acknowlege the wireless adapter. Any suggestions on how to get the wireless to work like it did before I reformatted?

Sounds like a driver problem, have a look on the wireless card and get the model number from it, if you do open the case make SURE you have the PC unlplugged, not just switched off, technically you should wear an anti static wrist strap as well.

Its a linksys WMP11 version 2.4 . The Dell site has a driver for the 2.7 and 4.0 versions only.
