my problem is that i have moved recently, and now i am connecting to a wireless network, which i have the access key, but when i first start windows, it appears as connected, with very good signal. After a minute or two (this time is always random) the wireless disconnects, and the only thing to fix this is to repair the connection. after this the "repair wizard" gives me this answer:

windows could not finish repairng the problem because the following action cannot be completed:

Connecting to the wireless network

for assistance, contact the person who manages your network.

But the thing is that i CAN connect to the internet even if the network appears as not connected. After a minute or two, this happens again, the network "disconnects" (already was disconnected) again, and i have to repair the network again, and again, and again.

This is really bothering me as i cannot play online with this problem. The network doesnt repair by itself, so i have to be present to repair it each 2 minutes.

i have tried setting to a fixed IP and DNS, and the problem is the same. This is not a problem with my Network card as i can connect to other wireless networks without problem. Besides, other computers have the same problem.

need help please, i´m becoming insane with this!!!!

what do you mean? that i connect to the wireless network through a wireless router and connect to the wireless router throu a cable??

in any case, i dont have a wireless router. maybe there is a solution within my computer, or wireless card configuration.

the wirelss network is from my neighbour, which is the owner of the place where i´m living right now, he´s not billing me for using his internet, and he gave me the access key, but i dont have access to the access point or wireless router that he has. (just in case somebody thought, i´m not stealing this network)

This looks to be a wireless interferance issue. Try a high db gain antenna to see if that helps if not check for a few things.

1. Make sure a microwave is not in between you and the router (this causes more problems than you know)

2. Have your neighbor put the router on the outside wall closest to your place.

3. Setup an external access point.

4. Look for cordless phones which might be on the same wireless channel as the router.

5. Try another wireless card.

6. Take your system to your neighbort's house to see if the problem persists.

well, i havent fixed the problem yet, but i got myself a wireless router, but how can i connect this router to the other router by wireless.

This is what i want to do:

Wireless Internet Connection -to- Wirelss Router (through wireless) -to- computers (through ethernet)

I just cant connect the router to the other router through wireless. I have been able to connect through ethernet from my computer, and through wireless from my computer, but i wanna try to connect my computer through the ethernet to my new router, and this one to the other router through the wireless, but i just cant figure out how to do it, and it should ask me for the authentication of the internet´s router. I just wanna try and see if it can keep my connection alive.

how do i have to configure this? as a bridge connection??

where do i have to configure the authenticantion info for the other router??

what is VCI and VPI??
