Subject: Wireless - No Internet ConnectionOS: Windows XPCPU/Ram: NA |
Comment: Hi All, Said I would install wireless network for a friends dad - and ofcourse nothing goes right!! :( I have connected the desktop comp to the router and its works fine (so no probs with the Wireless router settings etc). I then had to install the 3COM 3CRWE154G72 WIFI Card into the laptop (Running Windows XP). Installation was fine it seemed - the only thing of note was windows stating the drivers I was using (off the supplied disc) are not tested with XP. In the programme for the card, it finds the Home connection - I click and connect to it etc. The network connection in Windows shows an active normal connection etc. However when I click on Internet Explorer - No Internet?? It just hangs and then gives up (Though on 3 occasions so far it has connected to the internet absolutely fine, but after restarting the laptop = the same problem occurs) Also it seems the whole system just hangs whenever I try and do anything (i.e look at internet settings in I.E) Any Ideas? Like I said I really need help ... talk about a headache.
